It is finished!
It's been a while since I finished a realism portrait...3 months to be precisely

all the other stuff was surrealism and experimenting. glad to do some realism only again.

This time I tried to play around with the focus. That's why I tried to add more skin texture. (I've changed the skin like 5 or 6 times, but I'll just keep it like this) and left side blurry
The bad thing is, that I suck at drawing things blurry, it's so hard

Now it looks like I was lazy to draw the left part of the hair

I probably have mentioned this a billion time, but I hate drawing hair. This time it was even harder because her hair is so messy. It's not straight nor curly so there was not some kind of pattern which I could repeat

It felt like doing a puzzle

-B, 3B, 6B, 8B pencils
-mechanical pencil 2B
-A4 Paper
-diffrent erasers

The number one reason to pick this reference was the lightning, which was quiet a daunting task. I'm still not sure about it (especially the forehead) it looks out of place

Update: I changed the lightning on her head and added a bit more contrast to the bottom part of the hair. I like it a bit more now

First look at this I can say it's incredibly realistic. All of the shading feels serviceable. As far as portrait art goes it isn't very original. This kind of works always helps us grow as artists. There are a few areas that just don't seem to look right. I would recommend spending more time looking at your reference. I'll just rapid fire some things I find visually displeasing. There is a hard line that runs up the nose and onto the forehead. The bottom of the lip has a strange shading. The left eye feels a bit high or the right eye is too low. The lip isn't symmetrical. Now that the bad news is done with. I can say that there is a lot I really like about this. The fine details are amazing. I really like all of the detail in the skin. This piece also has a very high contrast. I see lots of work that just doesn't use a full range.
